Itim - Board of Directors

Bernard career has spanned over thirty years, spent almost entirely in the Information Technology industry. The first half was spent in a series of technical roles, starting with the BBC and culminating as European Technical Director for the ICL Group of companies. The second half has been spent as an entrepreneur, starting up, turning around, providing international business development advice and floating a range of high technology enterprises. Since 1989, Bernard has been furnishing this advice as an independent board member to a number of public and private companies including the Sage Group plc. In the past, Bernard has been Executive Director for Peachtree, Aston Tate, Select (CEO) and Sun MicroSystems - TOPS division, amongst others. Today, apart from being Chairman at Itim, Bernard is a Non-Executive Director with INVU, Casewise and Musashi Partners.

Ali is our founder and CEO and has spent thirty years working in various capacities in the Retail Industry. In 1982 he started Inforem, a systems integration company, which had a strong focus in Retail. He subsequently spent two years as a director of CSC after its acquisition of Inforem. After leaving Inforem, Ali started Itim and worked as a business transformation specialist within the Retail Sector with companies such as Woolworths, Booker, Early Learning Centre, Marks & Spencer, Homebase and B&Q. In 1999, Itim started its move into developing technology solutions. Ali is also non-executive Chairman of Casewise.

Simon joined Itim having had a successful career with Price Waterhouse's Management Consulting Practice, Inforem and ICL Retail. Prior to heading up the technology business at Itim, Simon ran business development for Itim Consulting, working with the other founders to build the Itim Consulting business. He has worked in the retail sector for over 20 years and has a strong grasp of how to effectively apply technology to help improve business performance. Simon has managed the organic growth and integration of acquisitions into Itim. Simon has a strong sales and customer focus; driving both new business and client relationship management.

Ian is a Chartered Accountant and was appointed as Group Finance Director in October 2005. He qualified in 1989 before joining Coopers & Lybrand and has since held roles with AT&T and Standard & Poor's; heading up the finance function in Europe. In his recent career Ian has been responsible for funding growth and start up businesses in the technology sector in both AIM listed and private environments.

Bob joined Itim as Operations Director in January 2009 having previously sat on Itim's Board as a non-executive Director for a number of years. Bob's experience in IT spans over 30 years with many companies. He had a career in large corporations with companies like Xerox and Dairy Foods, rising to Chief Information Officer with Grand Metropolitan Retailing, Burger King, Pillsbury, IMS health and eventually A.C Nielson.
